Innovation Property claims specialists are on the ground in Carlisle and other parts of the North West to help customers recover from the devastation of Storm Desmond.
Greg Gladwell, managing director of the Property Division, said nearly 1000 claims had been registered by the end of the week, and discussions were ongoing with clients including DLG and L&G to monitor the aftermath of the storm and ensure high quality service for existing and additional claims.
“Our field and operations teams are working 24/7, including this weekend, to keep on top of the work in progress. We are also aware that there may be additional weather warnings issued for the area.”
He added: “We are doing spot audit checks on our operations to ensure our service quality is as customers expect, and we have re-allocated to various claims hotspots to support the relief effort.”
Greg explained that the Innovation Group teams are available to help anyone affected by the floods. “We are providing technology and photographic facilities to customers to assist them process their claims as quickly as possible. We expect more claims to come on stream during the next few days.”
Greg said that the insurance industry would “rightly be judged on how customers are looked after following the storm. We are all in the political and media spotlight, and this is the time for our team to step up the plate and help customers in their hour of need.”
