Brightside Group and the RAC have signed a five-year deal that will see the broker selling a variety of breakdown products to customers across its motor book.
Neil Laird, head of product development at Brightside, said that under the terms of the agreement, Brightside customers will be offered a variety of breakdown products, including Roadside, At Home, Onward Travel and European Breakdown Cover.
He said: “We’re delighted to be partnering such a well-known and trusted brand. We will be sharing customer insights and analytics in order to develop and build new products under an exclusive arrangement with RAC. We have started selling breakdown cover on our newly installed CDL system and our intention is to grow this business rapidly over the course of the next few months. We want to triple the number of customers buying breakdown products from us next year.”
Neil said the partnership underscored the importance of Brightside’s significant investment in its CDL operating system, which has enabled the business to ramp up the number of products and services it can offer its customers.
Richard Fuller, head of commercial sales at RAC, said: “This partnership will not only give peace of mind to thousands of new customers who can rely on the RAC to provide the service they need., but we are also really excited by the opportunity to innovate in product development.”
He added: “We have a great relationship with Brightside, and ultimately that will benefit customers who are looking for the best deals on the market but also services they can rely on from brands they can trust.”
